Boys & Girls Tee Ball League (League Age 4-6)*

Tee Ball Baseball is for boys and girls who want to learn the fundamentals of hitting and fielding between the League Ages of 4 and 6.  This is recommended for players who are getting their first exposure to baseball.  Players hit a ball off a batting tee for the entire season. There will be a 15-25 minute instruction session followed by a 35-45 minute game. There is typically one practice/game on a weeknight (Monday-Thursday). Weeknights start at either 5:00 or 6:00 PM. There will also be one practice/game on Saturdays. Saturday times will typically be between 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM. The primary goals of Tee Ball are to instruct children in the fundamentals of baseball and to allow them to experience the value of teamwork. Rosters may be composed of up to ten players, but the league endeavors to have smaller rosters to improve instruction. No scores are kept during the games in this division. No live pitching is permitted in this division. 

Mini League Softball (League Age 6-8)

The Monroe Mini League Softball is a league for girls between the ages of 6 and 8.  Players who are age 6 that would like to participate in this league should have played one year of tee-ball or request an evaluation by the league managers to determine eligibility. The league gives these girls an opportunity to develop their fundamentals and play competitive softball.  It is a coach pitch league for a majority of the season.   Girls are encouraged to learn how to pitch with the opportunity to try out their pitching skills during a game near the end of the season.  At the end of the season, there is an oppurtunity for the U8 All-Star team to be selected and play against other teams in Fairfield County.  This is a good league for your daughter to learn by playing all of the softball positions and develop her skills and love for the game.

Minor League Softball (League Age 8-10)

The Monroe Minor League Softball is a league for girls between the ages of 8 and 10.  This league gives these girls an opportunity to enhance their skills as they continue to learn the fundamentals.  The Monroe teams are selected by the volunteer coaches that is overseen by the Player Agent and the VP of Softball, and it is a player pitch league but a coach will come into pitch during the inning after one walk issued and three balls have been received on any batter thereafter.   Unlike the Mini League, girls are pitching most of the game and are given an opportunity to steal twice an inning.   Girls are encouraged to try to pitch (mound is 35 ft. from home plate) and catch as well as play all of the positions.  At the end of the season, an oppurtunity for an All-Star team is selected to play against other teams in Fairfield County.  

All players registered for U10 Minors will be placed on a team following an evaluation process that will be announced once registration is closed.
