The 8 Year Old Coach Pitch All Stars is for Players that are little league 8 or 7.  

The team will be selected by either after a tryout or by the MLL Board of Directors.

The team will have 12 players. We may have a second team  All decisions are final.  A team manager will be selected by the Board along with two to three assistants. 

This team will play in the Trumbull coach pitch tournament that begins around July 4th and runs for two weeks. 

The tournament is a three game minimum, meaning that each team plays at least three games, then the tournament field is narrowed down to the top teams for a playoff.   

The number of practices is up to the Manager and available field space.

The fee for this team is projected to be approximately $80 per player which includes the tournament entry fee, jersey and hat.  The fee will be charged once the team is selected.  No one on the team receives a uniform until the entire team is paid.

If other 8u tournaments become available, the Board will determine whether to enter the team based upon interest.  Additional fees may be charged at that time.

While the Spring Season promotes instruction, inclusion and fun, the Burdick Team is about developing advanced skills, promoting competition, and the development of a winning attitude. 

We understand that some players thrive in this kind of environment and other players do not. It is important for parents to understand this upfront also and make this distinction for themselves as well as for their child.  Playing time is based upon work ethic, good sportsmanship, attitude and skill. 

This team practices and plays at a much higher energy level than the regular season teams, as the expectations increase for both the players and parents.  

If you cannot commit to the above schedule due to other obligations or other sports, please do not register.
