President's Message
November, 2007
To the Parents and Players of the Monroe Little League,
I would like to thank everyone for giving me the opportunity to serve
a third year as
the President of Monroe Little League. The goals of our league are
to instill good sportsmanship, loyalty, courage, respect for authority and respect for each other so they may be well adjusted, stronger, happier children, and that they may grow up to be good, decent and healthy citizens. These goals will be achieved by the continued dedication of the children, parents, volunteers and community in providing a safe, well-organized league through our desire to provide the best fields, uniforms, equipment, managers and training possible every year.
This coming year, we plan to build on our previous
years' successes. Training will continue to be a priority for our players, as well as
our managers and coaches. Programs will be developed to help
standardize available practice sessions. We will also continue our
commitment to safety, with mandatory first aid training. We will
continue to improve Beardsley field for the benefit of not only
baseball, but softball as well. All ages in all divisions will
have the opportunity to play on fields that will be the jewel of
Monroe Little League.
The dedication of the Board of Directors, Managers, Coaches, Parents and numerous volunteers achieved so many accomplishments for Monroe Little League, and we will continue to achieve many more in the future. I would like to personally thank
the members of the Executive Board of Directors Keith Crosby, Joe
Kobza, Melina Duignan, Rob Jarnutowski, John Smith, Bob Cloutier
and Dave DiGirolamo for all they have done to make Monroe Little League a better place for the players, Coaches and Parents. Yours truly,
Bruce E. Friedman
