Special Thank You to Bill Peet
and Ken Hunter
Each year, parents of players of Monroe Little
League donate countless hours of their time managing, coaching, and
organizing the league. On occasion, financial contributions are made
to the league by individual families and corporations at which
parents work.
At this time, I’d like to highlight two
contributions of the latter sort. Bill Peet, a long time coach and
volunteer, secured a $5000.00 donation from General Electric. Ken
Hunter, another long time volunteer and annual contributor, secured
a $750.00 from Verizon.
The selection of Monroe Little League as the
recipient of these corporate donations shows Bill and Ken’s
dedication to the boys and girls of Monroe, and a commitment to an
organization that has been driven to develop in our kids the
qualities of citizenship, discipline, teamwork and physical
well-being for the last 50 years.
These donations will be put to good use in the
improvement of the Monroe softball fields, principally at Masuk High
School, as well as the general improvement of the MLL Beardsley
Fields. These fields are in dire need of improvement, and these
donations will go a long way to meet that end.
We all owe Bill and Ken our appreciation, and
of course our appreciation to all the volunteers who donate their
most valued asset; their time.
